AVC Zagreb to support important Croatian film festivals
AVC Zagreb is supporting the most important film festivals in the region –
the Pula Film Festival and the Motovun Film Festival. AVC sponsors both
festivals with BARCO projectors, DOREMI digital cinema servers and technical support.
The National Programme of the 58th Pula Film Festival, that will run from 16–23 July 2011, will showcase 19 films, out of which 10 in the Principal Section and 9 in the Minority Co-Productions Section. The biggest novelty this year are the digital screenings on the festival which does not only mark a huge step forward in terms of organization and technology, but also in terms of the programme itself because films by producers who didn’t produce a 35mm copy will get an opportunity to showcase their work in the arena.
AVC Zagreb provides BARCO’s 2K
projectors and DOREMI digital cinema servers. The screenings in the
arena will showcase the DP2K-32B projector, officially recognized by
Guinness World Records as the brightest digital cinema projector in the
world.
The Motovun Film Festival is in it's 14th edition, making a huge step forward. For the very special jubilee of the 1,000th movie shown at the festival, a new chapter in the history of the festival is going to be opened – with the first open air 3D projection in the region: Wim Wenders' Pina, the first European 3D art movie.
Like the Pula Film Festival, AVC Zagreb is supporting the Motovun Film Festival with BARCO projectors and DOREMI digital cinemar servers.
