Exclusive AVC/Centron Dinner Cruise at IBC 2008
With many stimulating presentations and showcases, world first demonstrations, a prestigious awards ceremony and some excellent parties – like the traditional AVC/Centron exclusive dinner boat party –, the IBC 2008 in Amsterdam was a show to remember!
This year, the IBC in Amsterdam has proved to be a record-breaking event in visitor attendance, in number of registrations and in exhibitors taking part. IBC recorded 77,041 registrations and 49,250 visitors attended the show, breaking all previous records by nearly 5%. The visitors came from over 130 countries worldwide to experience unmissable events, compelling propositions and to gain an insight into future opportunities. The RAI exhibition centre was once again full with companies showcasing the latest technology and foremost business ideas in broadcasting and new media.
During the IBC, the AVC Group and their partner Centron held an exclusive dinner party for their key customers and business partners on the Dutch historic ship "Prins van Oranje".
The party gathered almost three hundred guests: our customers, directors and managers from national and commercial radio and TV stations, managers from leading audio/video companies, professionals from production studios and post production houses.
The atmosphere on the dinner cruise was absolutely great, we were delighted to have so many of our guests here.
Once again, we organized the funniest part of the dinner party – the raffle. And thanks to our sponsors we had a high valuable one! Those who were lucky enough won some exclusive prizes. In this regard we would like to thank all companies who supported the party with their sponsorship: Sony, Maxell, ARRI, Harris, RTS TELEX, Canon, Sachtler, EVS, Evertz, Orad and Studer.
The feedback was really great. It has been shown that the party was a very big success and that IBC is more than just a trade show: it's an annual experience of the very best the entertainment and electronic media industry has to offer.
See you next year on another AVC/Centron event!
